Students will receive "Green Forms" tomorrow during 7th period. This form gives your student permission to check out at 12 noon on final exam days. This form must be signed and returned by Thursday.

Good afternoon students and guardians. Tomorrow, May 12th is May Day. Students must wear their May Day Shirt to participate. Shorts are permissible, but must meet uniform guidelines. Jeans are also permissible with no holes, rips or tears. Concessions will be available for students to purchase.

Seniors are allowed to wear a shirt promoting the college and/or career choice that they have decided to attend after high school. Underclassmen may also participate in "Decision Day" by wearing VHS gear. Jeans without holes or rips are permissible. Go Rams!

As spring break comes to a close, the CCSD hopes you've had a safe week enjoyed with your family and friends. We plan to reopen all of our schools on Monday, April 3rd for the return of our students and staff. Enjoy your weekend and we will see you Monday.

Juniors, you will be taking the ACT Plus Writing on Tuesday, March 14th. You may bring a calculator with you to use on the math portion of the test. All eleventh graders are required to take the ACT and we will begin testing at 7:55 am, so make sure you get to school on time.

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Basketball team for winning the 5A State Finals and advancing to the Championship Game. We will celebrate with Spirit Day tomorrow, March 3rd. Students may wear their favorite Valley shirt or jersey and jeans. Remember, no hoodies are allowed and jeans must not have holes or tears.

The Chambers County School District is announcing plans to implement a delayed start for Thursday, March 2, 2023. All schools in the district will have a two hour delay on Thursday morning. The purpose for the delayed start will be to provide everyone across the district the opportunity to support the Valley High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team in their Final Four State Championship Semi-Final appearance. The Class 5A undefeated Valley Rams will make their appearance at the Legacy Arena in the BJCC located in Birmingham on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. The semifinal matchup is the last game on the slate for the day with game time set for 7:30 p.m. CST or 8:30 p.m. EST. The Central Division VHS Champions are paired up against the Scottsboro Wildcats who were the winners of the Northeast Regional in Jacksonville. This is the Rams first return trip to the Final Four since 2001. It is our hope that all of Chambers County will be able to make it out to Birmingham to support one of our teams on Wednesday evening! Please note that breakfast will not be served on Thursday morning. Tickets can be purchased via the Legacy Arena at the BJCC’s Central Ticket Office or via Ticketmaster’s online platform at https://www.ticketmaster.com/ahsaa-basketball-state-finals-birmingham-alabama-03-01-2023/event/20005D810626C7A3 Please note the following policies and information regarding 2023 State Final Tickets: · All single tickets are $12.00 with a $1.00 venue fee, plus any additional service fees. · All single day tickets are for general admission seating as there will be no reserved seating areas within the Legacy Arena for this event. · All single day tickets are good for all games on the day the ticket is purchased for and used. MAKE SURE YOU SELECT WEDNESDAY, 3/1/23 · There are no “pass out” privileges.

Chambers County School District has approved the calendar for the 2023-2024 School Year. Three drafts were proposed to the District Staff and with 291 votes cast…draft 2 won having 63.6% of the votes. Please see the newly approved calendar below.

A spectator's bus will be available for students to travel on in support of our VHS basketball game in Birmingham, AL. The date of the trip will be Monday, February 20, 2023. The cost for students to ride the bus is $10. Busses will leave VHS Gym promptly on Monday, February 20th at 2 pm and students must be here by 1:45 to board. Students must not have any potential truancy issues, no Class 2 or Class 3 disciplinary referrals, no ISS or OSS placements from August 2022 through current date. Permission slips must be turned in no later than noon, Friday, February 17th along with their $10 fee. Thank you for your continued support. Go Rams!
