📋 Eligibility & Requirements
Who: Open to all male and female students currently in 6th through 11th grade at VHS or WF Burns.
Special Note for 6th Graders: Since you'll be 7th graders next year, you are officially eligible to try out and compete!
Dragonfly: All athletes must have a completed physical uploaded to Dragonfly to participate. No physical, no practice!

The journey starts now. This is more than just basketball—it’s about character, teamwork, and Ram Pride. We are looking for heart, hustle, and the desire to improve every day.
We want to see ALL skill levels at tryouts. If you’ve been practicing on your driveway or are just curious to try, this is for you!

📋 STEP 1: SIGN-UP WEEK
Get on the list, Lady Rams! Don’t wait.
When: Monday, April 20 – Friday, April 24
Where: Find Coach Sims during your regularly scheduled P.E. time. This is mandatory for participation.
👟 STEP 2: TRYOUT DATES
Mark these dates in your calendar (and on your planner). attendance at BOTH dates is strongly encouraged.
Date 1: Tuesday, May 5
Date 2: Thursday, May 7
📝 STEP 3: THE MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT!
You must be cleared to play.
⚠️ You must have a COMPLETED physical form on file and turned in before you will be allowed to try out. Do not wait until tryout day to turn this in. Get it done now!

🕒 Physicals will take place right after school
🚌 Students may ride the bus from WFB to VHS, but must bring a written parent note
🚗 Parents must pick up students from VHS after their physical — the bus will not wait
📌 Reminder: All student athletes must have a current physical on file to try out for any school sport.
If you need a physical form, please have your student see their PE coach or stop by the front office.
