Winter Weather
As flu season intensifies, it's important to take extra steps to protect our children from both the flu and COVID-19. Here are some simple ways to keep them healthy:

🧼 Hand Hygiene: Remind kids to wash hands frequently, especially after eating, playing, or using the restroom.

🤧 Stay Home When Sick: If your child has symptoms like fever, cough, or fatigue, please keep them home to prevent spreading illness.

💪 Boost Immune Health: Ensure your kids get enough sleep, eat healthy foods, and stay active to strengthen their immune systems.

Let’s work together to keep our school community safe and healthy this season! ❤️

Respiratory Illness Guidelines 2025
Parents, please take a moment to ensure that your student's contact information is up to date, including current phone numbers and emergency contacts.

With illness spreading quickly this season, it's very important that we're able to reach a parent or guardian at all times, especially if your child becomes sick during the school day.

Thank you for helping us keep your children safe and well cared for.

To celebrate National Career Development Month this November, Mr. Rob organized a fantastic Touch-A-Truck event! 🚒🚓🚁 Kids had a blast exploring and interacting with fire trucks, police cars, helicopters, and more, learning about different careers in a fun, hands-on way.

A huge shoutout and thank you to all the amazing community partners who made this possible: LaFayette Fire & EMS, LaFayette Light & Power, LaFayette Animal Control, LaFayette Automotive Mechanic, Livesaver 3, Alabama Forestry Commission, Teagues Towing, and Chambers County Bus Shop. Your support helped inspire our students to dream big about their futures!

We had a magical World Kindness Day at our school November 17, 2025! ✨ Our amazing 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, guided by Mr. Rob, our school counselor and ELA teachers Ms. Bakarich, Mrs. Weathers, and Ms. Browning, wrote beautiful poems about kindness. Students were also randomly assigned the special task of writing letters of kindness to one another and exchanged them during the event. Selected students performed their poetry in a candle-lit cafetorium, with soft music, snapping fingers, and hot chocolate for everyone. It was such a special way to celebrate kindness, creativity, and each other! 💛📖🍫 #WorldKindnessDay #KindnessCounts #PoetryInAction
